Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+

This is the last complimentary Influenster Spring Vox Box item that I received and am going to review. I was sent the “Dust It” product which is basically just a volume and texture product.  When I first looked at the product, I did not know what the heck I was supposed to do with it.  I finally found two instructions written in very tiny font on the clear, plastic cover.  This should definitely be changed because many people, like myself, do not want to have to look up on the internet how to use this product.  For those who are looking up this product, basically you just sprinkle the white powder onto your DRY hairline and massage it into your scalp, easy enough. And the white powder becomes invisible once it’s rubbed in. I have dark hair and I can’t see the product anymore, which is good. Once I decided to just try this product, I wasn’t really all that impressed.  The product feels… I don’t even know how to describe it. It feels dirty I guess. And it did not really do anything to my flat hair.  My other products work much better at a cheaper price.  What it did do is make my hair look messy, like it was teased without me even having teased it. This would be cool if I had actually wanted that teased look but I don’t (that’s so 80s); I just want volume.  Try this product if you want, but I won’t be using it again.

You can get it for the expensive price of $23.50 at salons across America and Ulta.comImage

Secret Outlast Clear Gel

This was another product that I received from complimentary from the Spring Vox Box from Influenster. I was skeptical when I began using this because most gel deodorant does not work for me, I tend to sweat a lot. Because I tend to have wetness, I recently switched to the Dove Clinical deodorant which has helped a lot so I was also timid to try this regular Secret Deodorant again. I was pleasantly surprised with this though! I have been wearing it for 3 days now and I have yet to experience the same wetness that I used to and have not had any odor, although that is not a problem I really ever have. I do not think it has left white marks, though I have not checked. But I guess that since I haven’t noticed, that must be a good sign!

You can buy this product for approximately $4.59 at food, drug and mass retailer stores nationwide. For more reviews check out: http://www.influenster.com/review/secret-outlast-clear-gel

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

I got this item in the “Over the Moon” color as a complimentary sample from the Influenster Vox Box a few weeks ago for reviewing purposes.   They directions were pretty straight forward and they were extremely easy to put on and looked really good and very real, which surprised me.  However, as the days wore on, I noticed that the nails began to unstick from my actual nail, beginning the day after I put them on.  I continuously got food (and hair while I washed my hair) stuck between the real and fake nails and it was near impossible to get the food out.  Also, the nails began to fall off on the 6th day, which is still really close to the 7 day guarantee.  Finally, when I took the rest of the nails off after the first one came off, it took away a small layer of my actual nail which wasn’t so pretty.   This was my first time ever using fake nails though so I may have just put them on wrong. But I still really enjoyed wearing it and got TONS of compliments on my nails. Most had no idea they were pressed on and were surprised that the nails hadn’t fallen off as soon as I put them on. I would definitely recommend this item in a heart beat.

These press-on nails have been seen for the price of $5.99 for colors $7.99 for patterns at CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, KMart, Walgreens, Walmart, and more.Image
